Neill Avenue
Helena, Montana
In 1864 a group known as the "Four Georgians" (consisting of John Cowan, D. J. Miller, John Crab, and Robert Stanley), stumbled upon gold in what is now Helena's main street. The claim was staked and named Last Chance Gulch. By 1888, an estimated 50 millionaires made Helena their home. Last Chance Gulch produced an estimated $3.6 billion (in today's dollars) in gold over a 20-year period.
In addition to its main bank on Prospect Avenue, American Federal has a branch office at the base of Last Chance Gulch. Located at 28 Neill Avenue, the branch first opened its doors in 1987 and recently under went a complete remodel. The new building allows for better customer privacy and a far more inviting interior. We invite you to visit our team of experienced bankers. Branch Manager, Lisa Nelson, would be happy to assist you with a new account, or personal loan, and answer any questions you may have.
